Rivas was living with epilepsy and was taking medication to manage itHonduran TikTok star and television presenter Jennifer Nicole Rivas has tragically passed away at just 21 years of age. Her body was found at her home in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, according to reports on People.
Authorities suspect that Rivas may have died from an epileptic seizure. Local media outlet HCH Televisión Digital noted that she was living with epilepsy and was taking medication to manage it.
Rivas was a well-known social media personality in Honduras, with over 100,000 followers on TikTok. She also worked as a presenter for Honduran channel CHTV, and was pursuing a degree in journalism.

Following the news of her passing, several media organisations in Honduras expressed their condolences. El Showsero TV shared a statement, saying, “With deep sorrow, from El Showsero TV and the whole team of El Eventazo: Pickle War, we mourn the irreparable loss of our beloved participant Jennifer Rivas, from the Los del Barrio team. A person full of energy and enthusiasm who left a mark on every moment shared. Our deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones at this difficult time.”
Fans flooded her social media accounts with heartfelt messages. One commented on her last TikTok video, “Rest in peace, little doll, thanks for making us smile at Los Venados 504,” referencing the comedy group she was part of. Others wrote, “How beautiful she was, rest in peace,” and, “Tell me it’s a lie that she died.”
Rivas’ death marks another tragic loss of a young social media star this year. In March, teenage TikTok influencer Joshua Blackledge, 16, died from a gunshot wound at his home in Newport, North Carolina. Blackledge, a junior at West Carteret High School, had amassed over a million followers on the platform.
