SP delegation led by Mata Prasad Pandey was stopped by police as it prepared to leave for Bareilly, following party chief Akhilesh Yadav's direction. Pandey said that a large police force was deployed to stop them, violating their constitutional rights. SP MP Ziaur Rahman was also placed under house arrest in Sambhal.
